CONCEPT

my concept started with the simple word
RUDIMENTARY
then was broken down to
ORGANIC    |    RIGID
transition space
FLOWING FORM    |    STRONG ANGLES

from those broken down analysis, the concept of my assignment starts with the basic form of a car.

CAR

ENGINE   |   SEATS   |   CHASSY   |    PEOPLE

GEARS & FLUIDS  |  ERGONOMIC  |  WIND RESISTANCE & HEAD LIGHTS  |   USER

CHASSIS
ORGANIC
RIGID
ENGINE
FLUIDS
GEARS [INNER WORKINGS]

from this analysis of looking into the types of cars, the definition behind the mechanical machines are what makes the exotic car so unique. the contrast of rigid + organic forms can be seen in the competitive nature of these two italian car companies. lamborgini takes the form of RIGID, where ferrari take the form of ORGANIC.

connecting these two forms into a conceptual model has been challenging but i have a solution, in both cars an engine works from behind, and within the engine you will find RIGID pressed metal to guide the ORGANIC oils + liquids to run the high performance vehicle.

the final concept model will portray the inner workings of two high performancing vehicles and the competitive nature of their chassis design which make the companies world renown.

Concept Model coming together through 3DS Max representing the strong rigid structure of the
engine and the organic form of the fluids
Applying Materials to display the connections between the two car companies and the
components from under the hood.

 FINAL CONCEPT PHYSICAL MODEL

CONCEPT PROTOTYPED AS A MASS,NOT HOLLOW.

trial development of design starts to look at whether above + below designing is functional.
connection to the valley is key for this design, whether its via train network, road intersections or cross forms (ladder style).
placement of infrastructure must be taken into consideration for the functionality of a city.
one way couplet - ann + wickam
city form constraints
heat map - used/unused
developing forgotten lane ways - but the 3rd space is the latent space
placement via character
not down street - external of space
include street | split block
NOLI MAP - built area | unbuilt area = [cafes/plaza/laneways cafes]
"the analysis is setting yourself up for winning."
planning for the future
connection of follies - engage the user + jobs
